Spoiler grace periods—max 100 days from episode airing or movie release—exist for a reason. Once that window has closed, the responsibility to avoid spoilers shifts to the viewer. Expecting the world to indefinitely self-censor for your benefit is not 'etiquette', it is entitlement and an attempt at control.

In a decentralized space, no one is an overlord of public discourse, especially if you are on different servers or instances. If you require a tailored, spoiler-free experience for older content, please use your platform filters or, at the very least, ask politely.

The same applies in centralized SNS or social media.
